Donburi Serves Authentic Japanese Comfort Food With Serious Flavor

Donburi, the newest addition to the Tysons Galleria’s food hall, is also a welcome expansion to Fairfax County’s offerings for Japanese restaurants. Building on the success of its locations in Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle, Donburi’s Tysons location offers authentic Japanese comfort food in a fast-casual atmosphere.

The space itself, located on the third floor of the Galleria, is both modest and modern, with simple, clean furnishings in the open-concept dining room. There’s also counter seating for folks looking to stop by for a quick bite on their lunch break or between running errands. Donburi’s signature menu items are the rice bowls, especially the sakedon, filled with salmon and wasabi, and the chashudon, which is made with braised pork belly. The menu also includes a list of mixed-green salads (regulars say to try the katsu shrimp) and traditional Donburi or curry bowls.
