Toast a Special Occasion at Clarity, a Seasonally Inspired Eatery in Vienna

Looking for a fancy spot to celebrate a special occasion? Look no further than Vienna’s Clarity, which is less than 10 minutes from your doorstep. The restaurant specializes in upscale seasonal fare, and chef-owner Jon Krinn changes the menu on a daily basis. If you’re having a hard time picking your dishes, let Chef Jon do it for you.

The ever-changing tasting menu includes four courses for a flat fee per person, as well as optional wine or spirit pairings. Although the tasting menu features new bites all the time, the current lineup begins with a seafood salad. It showcases flash-seared Hawaiian kampachi and Maryland jumbo lump crab tossed with sundried tomatoes, olive relish, and a soy vinaigrette. As you savor the first course, look forward to the second round of cuisine—pan-seared Mediterranean rouget with roasted spaghetti squash, seared peppers, and a crustace emulsion. The third and largest course consists of a spice-crusted emu tenderloin from Fossil Farms with a port reduction, embellished with cauliflower mushrooms, braised Swiss chards, and romano beans on the side. Make sure you save room for dessert! The last course stars a confit apple tarte tatin, complete with whiskey pastry cream and a honey truffle ice cream.
